Since 1988, the National Convention has gone from strength to strength. If you haven't heard about the event, then where have you been?! It is the one defining moment of every fundraiser's year, with more learning and networking opportunities than ever.
Despite the economic climate, 1,700 people attended in 2009. It is reassuring to see that so many people believe in the importance of learning and development even in difficult times.
The place to learn
The programme is designed to appeal to fundraisers of all levels and anyone who works for a fundraising organisation. Workshop, conference and plenary sessions will provide you with analysis of the future of fundraising. The carefully designed programme will appeal to those who work in charity, marketing, communications, campaigning and senior management across all levels of experience.
What's different about 2010?
We want to make IoF National Convention the one big event you NEED to attend as a fundraiser every year. The new event in 2010 has been designed based on your feedback, to meet your specific needs.
IoF National Convention 2010 will feature more in-depth sessions than ever before. The convention Board have handpicked the very best speakers and finely-tuned the sessions to ensure they are both engaging and innovative, offering plenty of food for thought and opportunities for you to get involved.
Multiple networking opportunities have been introduced, from breakfast networking, to facilitated sessions within each specialist area of fundraising, to social networking opportunities in the evening where you can enjoy yourself and let your hair down.
Debate will be a key feature in 2010, offering the opportunity for each and every fundraiser to have their say. Join us to make IoF National Convention the one place where improtant decions are made and important issues in the sector are discussed.
Don't just take our word for it...
'In 2009 ActionAid used the IoF National Convention as part of our planning process and strategic thinking - to help answer strategic questions, gather benchmarking data, and challenge our thinking. Put in this context it offers extraordinarily good value (compared with the cost of advice from consultancies or service providers). Think of it this way, and you will approach, and use, the IoF National Convention in a different light.'
Richard Turner, Fundraising Director, Actionaid
'I would just like to send my thanks to everyone at the convention on making it such an unforgettable and enjoyable day. From the 'meet and greet' who explained how the convention worked, to the individual speakers, it was an unforgettable experience.'
Paul Bryan, Development Fundraiser, Ackers Adventure
