ABOUT THE INSTITUTE OF FUNDRAISING


The Institute of Fundraising is the professional membership body for UK fundraising. Our mission is to support fundraisers, through leadership, representation, standards-setting and education, and we champion and promote fundraising as a career choice.

We have over 5,300 Individual Members, who get access to professional and personal development, networking opportunities, training, support and advice. We also offer Organisational Membership to charitable organisations and Corporate Membership to companies that supply products or service to the not-for-profit sector.

We offer a wide range of fundraising training courses, suitable for both new fundraisers and fundraisers with years' of experience. We also offer fundraising qualifications, enabling fundraisers to gain professional recognition for their knowledge, work and experience.

We run a programme of one day conferences throughout the year which focus on innovation and best practice across a variety of fundraising techniques. Our flagship event, National Convention, takes place in July each years and is attended by over 2,500 fundraisers.

We provide legal and best practice guidance on a wide range of fundraising techniques. Our Codes of Fundraising Practice provide a guide to the law and best practice in relation to fundraising activity throughout the UK.
