BOOKINGS FAQ

If I book a place at Convention but later find out I am unable to attend, can someone take my place?
Yes.
The value of your booking will be transferred to the person taking your place. Please note that any resulting changes in the due delegate fee will have to be settled prior to the event. For example if you are a member of the IoF and therefore receive an IoF member discount but the person who is attending in your place is not, then the difference will have to be paid by midday on Friday 28th June. Similarly, if you received an early bird discount on your booking but you would like to transfer the value of your booking to another person after the early bird discount has ended the difference will have to be paid. The request to make changes to your booking should be made in writing. Please email IoFconvention@institute-of-fundraising.org.uk

If I book a place to attend Convention on, for example, the Monday and Tuesday is it possible for me to change my booking so I can attend, for example the Monday and Wednesday?
Yes.
It is possible to change the days you attend Convention. The request to make changes to your booking should be made in writing by email to IoFconvention@institute-of-fundraising.org.uk by midday on Friday 28th June.

If I book a place at Convention for two or three days but cannot attend one or two of the days, can someone else take my place on the days I can't attend without changing my booking.
No.
The amount that you should be credited for only attending one or two day(s) would be transferred to the other person's booking and they would have to pay the difference before midday on Friday 28th June.

If I book a place at Convention but can only attend the morning, can I give my badge to a colleague so they can attend the afternoon sessions?
No.
For health and safety and security reasons it is prohibited for delegates to share badges.

I am not a member of the IoF but my organisation is, do I qualify for a discount?
No.
You can only qualify for a discount as an organisational member if you make a group booking consisting of a total of 20 or more attendee days.

How late can I book?
Please note all bookings taken after Friday 21st June must be paid by credit card or bank transfer, quoting NC2013 and your booking reference

What is the cancellation policy for Individual Bookings?
Cancellations received before 1st June 2013 will receive a refund of 50% of the total fee. No refunds will be made for cancellations received after this date. Note: All cancellations must be received in writing by email to IoFconvention@institute-of-fundraising.org.uk by 1st June 2013.

What is the cancellation policy for Group Bookings?
Group Bookings of a total of 20 or more attendee days made via the Group Booking form reflect the minimum booking commitment from an organisation and, after they are 'locked in' at 17:00 on Friday 19th April, no refunds will be made for cancellations made after this date.

Group Bookings can still be increased after 19th April, with any additional attendees receiving the same discount rate applicable to the original Group Booking. However the percentage of discount applicable to the whole booking is 'locked in' at 17:00 on Friday 19th April, so even if any additions to the booking after this time take the booking into the next discount bracket, the original percentage of discount will apply. The cancellation policy for Individual Bookings will apply to any additional attendees added to the Group Booking after 19th April.
