In 2007 a 50 strong team of volunteers from across the sector offered their services for the duration of Convention. The event benefited greatly from their enthusiasm and commitment. The Institute of Fundraising is now recruiting volunteers for 2008.
Applicants will be asked to work on a voluntary basis for three and a half days from 6-9 July 2008 at the Hilton London Metropole, Edgware Road. With over 2,200 attendees across the three days, volunteers carry out a number of vital duties in partnership with Institute staff. These include registration, managing workshops, assisting delegates and much more.
- Free entry to all three days of Convention as well as meals (and accommodation where necessary)
- Valuable experience in team working and event management
- Opportunity to attend selected sessions on a range of fundraising topics and issues
- Becoming an integral part of the largest fundraising event in Europe
NOTE: Apart from in exceptional circumstances, volunteers are responsible for their own travel arrangements to and from the venue.
